چکیده

Background Contrast-enhanced MR angiography (CE-MRA) has evolved into a reliable imaging technique for peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD). Recent advances in MRI technology offer large homogeneous magnetic fields with comparable Field-of-Views at 3T and 1.5T, allowing visualization of the complete runoff vascular tree by single-injection 3-station (pelvic/thigh/calf) moving-table CE-MRA. Diagnostic performance of 3T versus 1.5T CE-MRA has not yet been described. The purpose of this study was to compare diagnostic accuracy of 3T CE-MRA in POAD in an equivalence trial with 1.5T CE-MRA, with conventional digital subtraction angiography (DSA) as the standard of reference.

Non-contrast peripheral angiography at 3T using QISS: improving venous suppression

Background Quiescent Interval Single Shot (QISS) has emerged as a robust technique for non-enhanced angiography of peripheral arteries (1). It has been clinically validated with contrast enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (CE-MRA) and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) (2,3). Both of these validation studies were performed at 1.5T field strength. Although the initial experience with QIS...

Intraarterial contrast-enhanced MR aortography with and without parallel acquisition technique in patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease.

OBJECTIVE Repeated intraarterial gadolinium injections are necessary in endovascular MRI-guided interventions; therefore a low-dose protocol with a short acquisition time is preferable. The purpose of this study was to conduct a quantitative comparison of intraarterial MR aortograms obtained with and without high-speed parallel acquisition technique. SUBJECTS AND METHODS Intraarterial MR aort...

Territorial arterial spin labeling in the assessment of collateral circulation: comparison with digital subtraction angiography.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Collateral circulation plays a vital role in patients with steno-occlusive disease, in particular for predicting stroke outcome. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) is the gold standard for the assessment of collateral circulation, despite its invasive nature. Recently, the development of a new class of arterial spin labeling (ASL) methods allowed independent measuremen...

An evaluation of the arterial occlusions in peripheral arterial disease by 64-detector multi-slice CT angiography: DSA correlation

Objective: Evaluation of peripheral arterial disease with 64-detector multi-slice CT angiography (MDCTA) and comparison of the results with the results of digital subtraction angiography (DSA), a standard reference. Materials and Method: The written informed consent of the patients and ethics committee approval were obtained. The retrospective study group consisted of 28 patients with a diagnos...
